Short Description:
We're building a powerful, industry leading suite of services on top of the WordPress platform, and need a smart, capable developer to lead the development of these services and eventually grow and help lead a team of additional developers.

Desired Skills:
Object Oriented Design, PHP, MySQL, WordPress, plus all the stuff everybody else says. Oh, and real estate experience is a definite plus

Job Description:
We're The Design People, and we run an amazing company that builds incredibly beautiful websites for real estate professionals and small businesses. We're augmenting our already established branding superiority with some deep, extensive technologies built on the WordPress platform (and then later as stand-alone versions).

Our industry is saturated with "me-too" technology vendors who have boring technologies built on old-school, proprietary platforms and who update their software at a ridiculously lethargic rate. There's an unmistakable lack of inventiveness and the industry deserves better. We're stepping up to deliver.

But, we'd like development of this new platform and services to be from a brand-new development team, unfettered by legacy code, and free to push the limits of the newest technologies.

Yes, we're giving you license to forget the past and focus on the future. It's a true, "from the ground up" opportunity where your own code is your only legacy.

We need a high-energy, super intelligent, business-minded developer who can come in and help lead this effort. You'll be programming full time, but will have a direct influence on what we build, and how. You'll be provided well-refined UI and spec docs, but will be expected to think beyond the spec, as the true expert, to help us push these products even further than we intended.

This position will be located in either Salt Lake City, UT, or Los Angeles, CA (depending on your preference). If you're the right candidate, you may even be able to work from home, if that's what you desire.
